How To Install Carbon Fiber Duckbill
Established in 2007, we have spent over 14 years cultivating long lasting relationships with the most talented Carbon Fiber manufacturers. Our products are known for having the straightest and most imperfection free weave quality and consistency. Our products feature a deep luscious clear coat finish that we know discerning carbon fiber aficinados crave for their C8 show cars. Made with same manufacturing process as our Lamborghini products; nothing else in the market compares to an RSC Ducktail Spoiler.
We don't cut corners. All our C8 Products are not only made from the finest pre-impregnated carbon fiber (sometimes referred to as pre-dreg or dry carbon). Each product is then cured in state of the art autoclaves to product the strongest and lightest product possible. By utilizing autoclaves we ensure the weave is consistent throughout the part without the distortions commonly seen in low quality composites.
A professional and custom body shop experienced in aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber body kits is required for proper installation and painting of these products. Aftermarket body kits do not fit like OEM products and generally require extra work for optimal fitment. Fitment will be dependent on the quality of the body shop choosen. A dry test fit is required before any modifications and painting is done. Outcast Garage nor the respective manufacturer will not be able to warranty a defective product if it has been modified or painted without a proper dry test fit nor be responsible for any credit towards labor or paint if the product is defective. An inexperienced or incorrect body shop may result in high labor rates, ill-fitting parts, and peeling paint.
All carbon fiber products will require an automotive-grade clear coat for protection against the sun's UV rays unless the clear coat is included with the product from its respective manufacturer. Products infused with a 'UV Protection Resin Gel' should still be covered with an automotive-grade clear coat. Body kits must be test fitted on the vehicle prior to painting to check for any manufacturer's defect. The product's respective manufacturer nor Outcast Garage will be not not warranty or be responsible for discoloration of the carbon fiber nor be responsible for the quality of the clear coat applied by the body shop if it does not meet the customer's expectations. Automotive-grade clear coat must be applied by a professional and custom body shop experienced in aftermarket carbon fiber parts. An inexperienced or incorrect body shop may result in high labor rates, damage to the carbon fiber or a low quality clear coat (proper technique and material must be used).

EVs are fundamentally different. There is no weight penalty. The kinetic energy is not wasted as heat in the brakes, but recharges the battery to slow the vehicle down. Impact? There is no serious weight penalty on economy. 4000 lb Model 3 is more efficient than carbon fiber body 2000 lb BMW i3.
A scaled-down 24-inch version of the Space Shuttle's Reusable Solid Rocket Motor was successfully fired for 21 seconds at a Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Test Stand. The motor was tested to ensure a replacement material called Lycocel would meet the criteria set by the Shuttle's Solid Motor Project Office. The current material is a heat-resistant, rayon-based, carbon-cloth phenolic used as an insulating material for the motor's nozzle. Lycocel, a brand name for Tencel, is a cousin to rayon and is an exceptionally strong fiber made of wood pulp produced by a special "solvent-spirning" process using a nontoxic solvent. It will also be impregnated with a phenolic resin. This new material is expected to perform better under the high temperatures experienced during launch. The next step will be to test the material on a 48-inch solid rocket motor. The test, which replicates launch conditions, is part of Shuttle's ongoing verification of components, materials, and manufacturing processes required by MSFC, which oversees the Reusable Solid Rocket Motor project. Manufactured by the ATK Thiokol Propulsion Division in Promontory, California, the Reusable Solid Rocket Motor measures 126 feet (38.4 meters) long and 12 feet (3.6 meters) in diameter. It is the largest solid rocket motor ever flown and the first designed for reuse. During its two-minute burn at liftoff, each motor generates an average thrust of 2.6 million pounds (1.2 million kilograms).
